Parent/ Grandparent Sponsorship

Under family reunification Parents and Grandparents sponsorship is a vey popular program. In the past few years, there have been many changes in the application in take system. As there are many applicants but a select number of applications are chosen each year based on the target set by IRCC.

 

For 2024 IRCC has announced that starting on 21 May 2024 they will send invitation to 35,700 sponsors from the pool of interest submitted in 2020 and process 20,500 complete applications. 

 

To sponsor your parents/grand parents these are the mandatory requirements:

 

• At least 18 years old

• Live in Canada

• A Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident

• Proof of income to show minimum income required for the last three years
