There has been increase in the proof of funds required for Express Entry eligible candidates and families. This increase has been implemented on Monday, 2 May 2023. To maintain your eligible and active profile in express entry make sure you update the funds section in your profile.
These funds show that you have enough money to settle in Canada when you arrive here as a Permanent Resident, however candidates eligible in Canadian Express Class are not required to show proof of funds. This applied to candidates under Federal Skilled Worker and Federal Skilled Trades.
Documents to show proof of funds:
A printed letter from your financial institution or your accompanying spouse's that includes bank's details, your name, outstanding debts, account number, balance, average for the last 6 months etc.
