Skilled Worker

Federal skilled worker programs are targeted to attract skilled professionals to immigrate to Canada and lately these have been very popular amongst working foreign nationals.

 

Canada’s immigration targets approximately 2,00,000 new economic immigrants each year. The idea behind inviting skilled workers to Canada is to fill labor gaps in high demand job roles.

 

Federal Skilled Worker

This program is ideal for applicants who have minimum one year of skilled worker experience, this experience can be outside Canada as well. Applicant needs to get minimum score to be eligible for this program and then apply via Express Entry. Score is calculated based on age, work experience, level of education and language proficiency. To show equivalency with Canadian education your education credentials should be assessed by designation organization.

Federal Skilled Trades

​

This program is focused on professionals with minimum 2 years of experience as a trades person (Electrician, Welder, chef, cook, baker, construction supervisor etc.). The experience must be within last 5 years and applicant should qualify the eligibility criteria. Applicant needs to have one of these as well: Offer of full-time employment for a job position of at least 12-months or a certificate of qualification in their skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority.

 

Canadian Experience Class

​

Ideal for applicants who have minimum 1 year of Canadian experience in last 3 years. With work experience applicants needs to have required language ability score as well. For foreign education, applicant needs to get education credentials assessment from designation organization.
