Super Visa
One of the most common and popular type of visa for parents or grandparents of a permanent resident or citizen of Canada.
With Super visa parent or grandparents can stay up to 2 years in one visit to Canada. This visa allows reunification of families temporarily, there are certain eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

Applicant must be parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

Signed letter from your child or grandchild who is inviting you to Canada. The invitation letter must include a promise of financial support for the length of your visit, list and number of people in the household of invitee, copy of PR or citizenship document.

Must have medical insurance from Canadian insurance company that is valid for at least 1 year (from date of entry), at least $100,000 coverage and proof that medical insurance has been purchased (quotes no applicable).

Super visa application should be made from outside Canada

Dependents can not be included in super visa application

Person inviting should meet minimum necessary income and attach supporting document like Notice of Assessment or T4, pay stubs, bank statements etc.
