Super Visa

One of the most common and popular type of visa for parents or grandparents of a permanent resident or citizen of Canada.

 

With Super visa parent or grandparents can stay up to 2 years in one visit to Canada. This visa allows reunification of families temporarily, there are certain eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

 

• Applicant must be parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

 

• Signed letter from your child or grandchild who is inviting you to Canada. The invitation letter must include a promise of financial support for the length of your visit, list and number of people in the household of invitee, copy of PR or citizenship document.

 

• Must have medical insurance from Canadian insurance company that is valid for at least 1 year (from date of entry), at least $100,000 coverage and proof that medical insurance has been purchased (quotes no applicable). 

 

• Super visa application should be made from outside Canada

 

• Dependents can not be included in super visa application

 

• Person inviting should meet minimum necessary income and attach supporting document like Notice of Assessment or T4, pay stubs, bank statements etc.
